Indoor soft decoration needs to buy a variety of decorations, among which lamps not only have the role of lighting, but also play an indispensable role in decorative aesthetics. Therefore, it needs to be carefully selected. How should lamps be selected? Today, let's get to know the lamps and lanterns and the matters needing attention in their selection.
1. Common styles of lamp products

There are chandeliers, wall lamps, ceiling lamps, floor lamps, desk lamps, ceiling lamps, etc.
A. Pendant lamps are suspended from the ceiling, and ceiling lamps are installed on the ceiling. They are used for overall lighting.
B. Floor lamp and wall lamp are mainly used for local lighting of space. The light is soft and they are sharp tools to increase the family atmosphere
C. The desk lamp is mostly used to illuminate the desk. The light is concentrated, which can make the user focus and not be disturbed by the outside world.
D. Energy saving lifting lamp is mostly used in small space and second bedroom, which has the advantages of power saving and convenient operation.
3. Material selection of lamps
Crystal, glass, acrylic, iron, copper, stainless steel, stone, cloth, wood, composite materials, etc.
4. Selection of lamp size
The center of the house (see Figure 1)
Measure the length and width of the room, and add them together to get a number, so that we can give a general impression of the room.
The diameter of lamps installed indoors should not exceed 1/12 of this figure
Lamps on the desk (see Figure 2)
The diameter of the lamp in the home should be at least 12 inches less than the width of the table (equivalent to 30 cm) to avoid touching the head
Dining table (see Figure 3)
There is a distance of 28-32 inches (71-82 cm) between the position of the lamp and the table top
The key is to keep the lights in the same direction. Low hanging lights should be used in corridors with high ceilings.
There should be at least 7 feet (2.1 meters) between the lamp and the floor. (This parameter is only recommended for users with high floors)
Kitchen area (see Figure 5)
Whether for aesthetic reasons or for safety, it is necessary to arrange lamps above the kitchen table. Lamps should be arranged 1.8 meters above the ground or 71-86 cm from the kitchen counter. The installation position should be high enough so that people in the area do not have to stare at the lamp.
The distance between the bottom of the lamp and the highest place of the stairs (handrail) should be 45-61 cm.
In the bedroom (see Figure 10)
The location of lamps in a standard bedroom is 7 feet (210 cm) from the floor. If you place the lamp directly above your bed, be sure to keep the lamp at least 6 inches (15 cm) from your head when you kneel on the bed
The minimum distance from the bottom of the crystal chandelier in the hall to the ground should be 80-84 inches (200~210 cm). If the hall is 2 floors high, the design of lamps shall not be lower than that of the second floor.
If there is a window on the second floor, you should place the crystal chandelier in the middle of the window so that you can see the lamp from the outside.
